Creating and running your own online store is made easy with Shopify. You can sell physical or digital products, manage your inventory, accept payments, and more. Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Start your free trial. Sign up for a 14-day free trial on the Shopify website. Provide your email address, password, and store name.
Step 2: Get to know your dashboard. This is where you can access all the features and settings of your store. You can see your orders, products, customers, analytics, and more.
Step 3: Manage your orders. View, edit, fulfill, and cancel your orders from the Orders page. You can also create manual orders and handle abandoned checkouts.
Step 4: Add products to your store. Add products one by one or import them in bulk from the Products page. You can also edit product details such as title, description, price, images, variants, and inventory.
Step 5: Manage your customers. See customer information such as name, email, phone number, address, and order history from the Customers page. You can also create customer groups and send marketing emails.
Step 6: Discover analytics of your online store. Track your store’s performance such as sales, traffic, conversion rate, and more from the Analytics page. You can also set up Google Analytics to get more insights.
Step 7: Think about your marketing campaigns. Create and manage your marketing campaigns from the Marketing page. You can also use Shopify apps to help you with SEO, social media, email marketing, and more.
Step 8: Create discounts. Create discount codes and automatic discounts from the Discounts page. You can also set up free shipping rates and gift cards.
Step 9: Add apps to your store. Enhance the functionality and appearance of your store by installing apps from the Shopify App Store. There are thousands of apps for different purposes such as reviews, loyalty programs, chatbots, and more.
Step 10: Customize your store. Choose and modify your store’s theme from the Online Store page. You can also add pages, menus, blogs, and domains to your store.
Step 11: Set up the back end of your store. Configure your store’s settings from the Settings page. You can set up your payment methods, shipping rates, taxes, notifications, legal pages, and more.
Step 12: Choose a paid plan. Before you launch your store to the public, choose a paid plan that suits your needs and budget. Shopify has four plans: Basic ($29/month), Shopify ($79/month), Advanced ($299/month), and Plus (custom pricing). Each plan has different features and transaction fees.
These are the basic steps to use Shopify. We hope this helps you understand how to use Shopify step by step.
